The Other Bird:
The Other Bird is a hospitality group that offers culinary experiences with the goal of making guests wonder aloud if they can marry a restaurant. With unique dining locations including The Mule and Rapscallion Rogue Eatery, the group prides itself on pulling guests into a world of flavour and decadence, but in an easygoing sort of way. By pairing Executive Chef Matt Kershaw's big-flavour-probably-bad-for-you cooking with Erin's passion for extraordinary service, The Other Bird has earned a reputation for offering unique fare and charming hospitality, and was recently named Hamilton's Outstanding Mid-Sized Business by the city's chamber of commerce.
The Arlington Hotel is the jewel in The Other Bird crown -- a boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown Paris, Ontario. This historic property is inspired by literature and some of the greatest creative minds through history. Each of the 24 guest rooms has been uniquely decorated to bring to life and encapsulate larger-than-life personalities like Ernest Hemingway, Stan Lee, Mary Shelley, and even Dr. Seuss. The hotel’s blackboard-focused restaurant, edit., serves creative, chef-driven fare in a casual setting that inspires and delights. The result is an experience that blends refined comfort with an atmosphere that will transport you to a world of timeless stories and endless nights.
Alas, it all comes back to food. Each of the restaurants in The Other Bird family offers a unique take on what an amazing night out should look like. Whether it’s a nose-to-tail feast at Rapscallion Rogue Eatery, an elegant sip and nibble at Hunter & Co., oysters and serious cocktails at Two Black Sheep, or a taco (or four) at The Mule and Burro, every location offers something very different – and very delicious.
